Want to use your technical skills to fight the pornography epidemic?

Single Eye Software is seeking a software development intern to work remotely on our Internet filter, Pluckeye. The intern would work on one or more of the following: an iOS app, the Android system, Linux, or a website built with javascript, css, html, and ruby.

Start date and hours per week are flexible. We are most interested in finding the best fit for our company.

The best fit for an intern will be committed to the mission of the company, since we are a values-driven organization. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, hard working, and able to move forward with minimal direction. They should be precise and skilled in their area.

Because Pluckeye works on multiple platforms, Single Eye Software provides an excellent place to hone a variety of technical skills. And since we are a small company, your work will be meaningful and have an impact.

Applicants must include a cover letter explaining why they are drawn to our company and what they would contribute to it, a resume, and a transcript. Top tier applicants will be asked for a work sample.

Single Eye Software produces Pluckeye, a self-control Internet filter. It provides a software solution to pornography addiction. With its unique technology and approach, it gives people who want to quit using porn a way to protect themselves from it.

Pluckeye (pronounced "plucky", a reference to Matthew 5:28-29) was created in 2015. After a decade of working in the software industry, its founder, Jon, wanted to serve God's kingdom using his technical expertise. Pluckeye currently has 1600 users around the globe finding hope and freedom from compulsion. A typical user response: "Now I can work alone at my computer without having to fight a constant battle in my mind."

Single Eye Software is a missional company, dedicated to making this tool available to anyone who is ready for change. Payment for use is therefore requested but not required, with a sliding-scale subscription rate. It is free to those in developing countries. We believe finances should not stand in the way of anyone who wants to break free from darkness.

Note: We are a remote office, so all employees (including any interns) work from home.
