Recent problems - Chrome, etc.

As of 2019-02-23, there are several noteworthy outstanding issues with Pluckeye, and especially Chrome. On some machines, with some versions of Chrome, the Internet is completely blocked at Level 2. On other machines, there are yet other problems.

In an unfortunate coincidence of events, Google and Microsoft both released substantial Pluckeye-breaking changes near the same time, at a time when Jon also began suffering from an RSI issue. Coincidence? You make the call.

When will this be fixed?

TL;DR: don't know.

Jon has had stiff and swollen knuckles for five weeks, and these have recently morphed into much worse hand pain. Because typing is painful, and Jon doesn't want to permanently damage his hands, he is taking a break in the hopes that they will heal quickly. In the meantime, there are some tips below that, while they don't solve the problem, may help motivated users find acceptable workarounds.

What you can do

First, you should know there are several browsers you can use with Pluckeye. There are different pros and cons to each. Here are some alternatives to Chrome:

Second, you should be aware of the Pluckeye option nhb, which blocks "more". Use it if you feel Pluckeye is not blocking enough.

Third, you might be able to get help from somebody other than Jon in https://forum.pluckeye.net and/or https://reddit.com/r/pluckeye .

Jon very much wishes to fix these problems as soon as possible, but only time will tell how soon he can do that physically.

Thanks for your patience and support of the project.

Happy Plucking!
